Covid-19 Statement

These are exceptional times. With Coronavirus – Covid-19 - we all face an unprecedented global challenge. Stiltz Ltd. continue to review activities on a daily basis to comply with Government directives.

Stiltz is a proud member of the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) through which we are co-ordinating industry efforts to keep our customers mobile. Our priority is to ensure all current and prospective customers are able to maintain safe and independent access with the help of their homelift, as reducing accidents within the home at this time will, in turn, assist in reducing stress on the NHS hospital care system. We will endeavour to provide the expected levels of service and support to those seeking a new homelift installation or those requiring lift service/maintenance, while being mindful to minimise risk.

We have therefore implemented additional processes to mitigate risk to you, our staff and the wider Stiltz community:

As a matter of course, we will check with all customers and prospective customers requesting them to confirm nobody is unwell with Covid-19 at the property we are due to visit. If Covid-19 is confirmed, we will follow Government advice
All customer visits will be subject to additional sanitation measures. Stiltz staff will wash or sanitise their hands prior to entering your property, and upon leaving. They will not offer to shake hands, and will maintain the prescribed 2 metre distance
Regular health and safety bulletins will be issued to all office and field-based staff
All field-based staff will be asked, on a daily basis, to confirm they are clear to work as per NHS and Government Guidance
All staff who fall ill with Covid-19 or who are self-isolating, will receive full pay during the period they are indisposed.

Stiltz will closely monitor the situation and follow government advice at all times. Our priority is to manage customer and staff safety, whilst continuing to provide our customers with the necessary homecare support to ensure their valued independence.

Stiltz Lifts are delighted to announce a former British Army corporal has agreed to become the brand ambassador for our unique range of home lifts.

Josh Boggi, 30, who bought a wheelchair-friendly Stiltz Trio Home Lift in 2015, will act as a spokesperson for the company and represent the business at both trade and consumer events.

Josh served in Afghanistan and was injured in a bomb blast in 2010 which resulted in him losing both of his legs and his right arm. He was later fitted with life-changing prosthetic limbs and is now a professional sportsman.

Josh, whose motto is ‘Life Goes On’, was presented with the Overcoming Adversity award by cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins as part of The Sun newspaper’s Annual Military Awards in 2013 after cycling 420 miles on a hand bike from Paris to London to raise money for injured comrades.

One year later, he represented the United Kingdom Armed Forces Team in the first-ever Invictus Games in London – an international Paralympic-style, multi-sport event devised by Prince Harry for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel. Josh won bronze in cycling. At the 2016 Invictus Games, he won two gold medals and two silver medals in cycling and indoor rowing.

Josh is currently training for the Race Across America (RAAM) in June this year – which has been dubbed the world’s most grueling bicycle race – where he as well as seven others – will represent the Help for Heroes Cycling team. Racers must cycle 3,089 miles across 12 states and climb over 180,000 vertical feet.

Josh said: “I am delighted to have become a brand ambassador for Stiltz Lifts. Having been a Stiltz customer for more than two years, I know how impressive their home lift products are.

“My Stiltz Home Lift has made a huge difference to my life. It means if I take my prosthetic legs off, I don’t have to climb up the stairs which makes life much simpler and easier. I wanted my home to look as normal as possible and my domestic lift is really stylish and doesn’t look like a disabled lift.

“My Stiltz Lift tucks discreetly into the corner; it is a brilliant product and worth every penny – and you can’t put a price on quality of life. When Stiltz approached me about becoming their ambassador, it was an easy decision for me to say yes.”
