COVID 19 Statement

Coronavirus – Covid-19 presents us with an unprecedented global challenge. Stiltz Ltd. continues to review activities on a daily basis to comply with Government directives.

Stiltz is a proud member of the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) through whom we are co-ordinating industry efforts to keep the most vulnerable living safely in their own homes. Reducing the instance of accidents within the home will help reduce stress on the NHS hospital care system.

For existing customers, a Stiltz Homelift can be that lifeline to independence. Our homecare support policy means Stiltz engineers continue to provide an essential service by maintaining customers’ lifts for ongoing safe, reliable and independent access, while acting within Government guidelines.

For new homelift installations we offer the options of a phone call, remote video consultation via tablet/laptop/smartphone, or email consultation. For those with an urgent in-home consultation need, we will minimise risk by following latest Government guidelines.

Additional processes have been put in place to mitigate risk to you, our staff and the wider Stiltz community:

· We will request confirmation that nobody at the property we are due to visit has Covid-19 or is defined as extremely vulnerable, and in need of being shielded. If Covid-19 is present, or a person is isolating or deemed as extremely vulnerable, we will follow government advice.

· All customer visits will be subject to additional sanitation measures. Stiltz installers/engineers will wash or sanitise their hands prior to entering your property and upon leaving. They will not offer to shake hands, will refuse offers of a beverage and will maintain the prescribed 2 metre distance

· Regular health and safety bulletins will be issued to all office and field-based staff

· All field-based staff will be asked, on a daily basis, to confirm they are clear of symptoms prior to commencing their working day

· All staff who fall ill with Covid-19 or who are self-isolating, will receive full pay during the period they are indisposed.

Stiltz will follow government advice at all times. Our priority is customer and staff safety, whilst continuing to provide the necessary homecare support to ensure vital independence.

Stiltz Home Lifts will be promoting its newly-released BS5900 compliant home lift on Stand TA02 at the NEC Birmingham this Sunday and Monday (October 7/8) as part of leading mobility and independent living event, Trade Days.

The new Stiltz Trio+ Home Lift is a spacious, luxury wheelchair-accessible lift, and has been designed to accommodate a full-sized wheelchair or comfortably carry up to three passengers.

Having undergone extensive development, the Trio+ is now fully compliant with BS EN 81-41 and BS5900 accreditation which means our trade partners can offer the domestic lift as a practical and stylish mobility solution to local authorities and the consumer market with confidence.

The Stiltz Trio+ Home Lift now incorporates fire seal protection when the lift is parked at the upper or lower floor, and can be interlinked with smoke alarms. For wheelchair users, the new Trio+ is now available with the added option of an automatic door to allow for ease when entering and exiting the lift in a wheelchair. The lift has also now has a higher carrying capacity of 250kg.

Designed with a matte, soft grey aluminium frame, the Trio+ Home Lift has a stylish transparent main body and clear sides so it can blend seamlessly into the home. The rails are cleverly and discreetly recessed behind the slightly wider entrance and exit points to make it even less intrusive. The car body has been especially designed for wheelchair users with wider entry and exit points and a gently-angled ramp for easier wheelchair access.

The lift is available in a single-door model and a unique thru-car option which allows entry and exit from both sides of the Trio+ creating even more options when choosing a suitable location for the lift. Both doors in the thru-car model can be specified as automatic. The Trio+ will not be displayed at the NEC but Stiltz will be showcasing its contemporary, compact and elegantly-curved two-person Stiltz Duo+ Home Lift; an ideal alternative to a stairlift.

Both Stiltz domestic lifts are freestanding with no supporting walls needed as the lift travels ‘through the floor’ on unique and discreet self-supporting vertical rails. The Trio+ and Duo+ are powered in the same way – through a quiet self-contained motor that plugs straight into a standard mains socket with no hydraulics required.

Gino Farruggio, UK Trade Sales Director for Stiltz Home Lifts, said: “We are delighted to be at Trade Days again as it is always such a great event for us. We are especially looking forward to the show this year as it gives us the chance to showcase our new Stiltz Trio+ with fire seal and automatic door and as well as our smart Stiltz Duo+.

“Trade Days is the perfect opportunity to see lots of existing customers as well as meeting valuable, new customers all under one roof. As a trade-only event, it also means dealers can stop by and ask any technical questions they may have about our new products in a relaxed environment.”
