Stiltz Home Lifts will be presenting its wheelchair-accessible lift, Stiltz Home Lift Trio+, at The Occupational Therapy Show, NEC Birmingham on November 21-22.

The Stiltz Trio+ Home Lift is the most recent ground-breaking addition to the Stiltz range of unique domestic lifts which has been designed to accommodate a full-sized wheelchair or carry up to three people. Its contemporary design encompasses both practicality and style.

This new domestic lift will give occupational therapists the chance to independently recommend the product during in-home OT assessments as an aid for those who need to adapt their homes to help make their lives easier. These adaptations can be partially or fully funded depending on the individual’s circumstances, by a Local Government Disabled Facilities Grant.

Having undergone extensive development, the Trio+ is now fully compliant with BS5900 and BS EN 81-41. This accreditation means OTs can offer an attractive mobility solution to help end-users move around their home with increased confidence, with a cost comparable to other domestic lifts on the market.

The home lift now incorporates fire seal protection when the lift is parked at the upper or lower floor which can be fully integrated with an existing smoke alarm. The new Trio+ wheelchair lift is now available with the added option of an automatic door to allow for ease when entering and exiting the lift in a wheelchair.

The car body has been especially designed for wheelchair users with wider entry and exit points and a gently-angled ramp for easier wheelchair access. The lift has also been uprated to a higher carrying capacity of 250kg so OTs can recommend the product to a wider spectrum of clients.

Designed with a soft matte grey aluminium frame, the Stiltz Trio+ Home Lift has a stylish transparent main body and clear sides so it can blend seamlessly into a client’s home.

The lift is available in a single-door model and a unique thru-car option which allows entry and exit from both sides of the Trio+ creating even more options when choosing a suitable location for the lift. Both doors in the thru-car model can be specified as automatic.

The Trio+ is the only freestanding home lift on the market with no supporting walls needed as the lift travels ‘through the floor’ on unique and discreet self-supporting vertical rails. The lift is powered by a quiet self-contained motor with no noise vibration, unlke other lifts which need to be bolted into a supporting wall.

Stiltz Home Lifts will also be exhibiting the more compact and elegantly-curved two-person Stiltz Duo+ Home Lift at The OT Show which is an ideal alternative to a stairlift for the more mobile customer.

Gino Farruggio, UK Trade Sales Director for Stiltz Home Lifts said: “The Stiltz Trio+ Home Lift gives occupational therapists the opportunity to advise and recommend a product which is a life-changing mobility solution for wheelchair users.

“Our new domestic lift enables the user to keep their independence and live a full life in the home they love. While not being a mandatory requirement, the Trio+ is now BS5900 compliant and ticks all the boxes required for a local authority Disabled Facilities Grant for those users who desperately need to adapt their homes but do not have the finances.

“We are confident that once OTs have seen the Trio+ they will understand why we are so excited to be able to present a product that is not only invaluable in terms of assisting mobility, but which is an attractive addition to customers’ homes while costing no more than a traditional, boxy through-floor lift.”
