Builders (multi skilled) / Carpenters (x 3)

Due to the ongoing success of the company, we are expanding our team and now looking to recruit multi-skilled builders to work on our through-floor aperture contracts in domestic homes.

Skills & Experience:

  • Carpentry skills / qualified joiners / general building skills
  • Must have good understanding of structural work
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and electrics
  • Understanding of current CDM regulations
  • Awareness of current building practices
  • Company vehicle will be provided
  • Valid CSCS card

Home Lift Installers

Due to the ongoing success of the company, we are expanding our team and now require Lift Installation Engineers, to work alongside a Building Engineer, to install our range of home lifts across the UK.

Requirements:

  • Ideally through floor lift installation experience, however not essential
  • Service and maintenance of electro/mechanical product
  • Electrical competence – fault diagnosis on electro/mechanical product
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional stay away from home
  • Ideally have electric qualification

You need to be:

  • Resourceful, efficient and well organised
  • Be able to communicate well with customers
  • Trustworthy, reliable and well presented
  • Customer focused

Customer Services – Office Apprentice
(Kingswinford)

 

Duties include:

  • Inbound and outbound calls
  • Booking appointments with customers and contractors
  • General administrative duties such as MS Excel, emails etc

As role progresses, scheduling appointments, collating information for key performance reporting, logging of complaints


Desired skills and qualifications:

  • GCSE Maths grade: C
  • GCSE English grade: B
  • ICT / computer literate

Desired/required experience:

Good telephone manner
Desired personal qualities
Punctual, polite, confident, flexible, able to work independently

Electronics/Electrical Engineer (Kingswinford)

With a healthy list of projects to develop both existing and new products, we are expanding our design and engineering team and so have a vacancy for an Electronics/Electrical Engineer.

Working in conjunction with our suppliers in the UK and China, the role will include:

  • Design of PCBs to control lifting products
  • Programming of PCBs using embedded C/C+
  • Specification and design of circuits for sensing, safety systems, control, communication and logging
  • Design of wiring looms
  • Development and integration of latest technology such as optical safety systems
  • Application of different battery technologies to new and existing products
  • Design and build of electronic and electrically controlled test systems
  • Testing of products to international and internally derived standards, and generating reports based on such testing
  • Oversight of external testing such as EMC testing
  • Preparation and maintenance of Technical Files
  • Understanding of UK, European and US standards
  • Provision of technical support to Company engineers

Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level, though experience will also be taken into account.  Experience of controlling DC motors will be a considerable advantage.

We will expect you to be highly motivated and methodical, and we will expect you to work easily within a team.

Surveyors (Maidenhead/Slough and Sheffield)

We are currently recruiting Surveyors for Maidenhead/Slough and Sheffield areas.  This role will ideally suit someone with exceptional communication skills, excellent written and interpersonal skills and attention to detail (would suit ex Building Inspector / Building Control Officer/ Experienced Builder or Carpenter).

Working with a wide range of clients, the role will be to survey/measure up for new through-floor lift installations, completing comprehensive paperwork and risk assessments, creating a method statement and a plan drawing; an intrinsic part of the role will be to develop good customer relations with a can-do and helpful manner.


Typical activities of the role include:
 

  • Advising clients about building/property issues including technical, building regulation and restoration matters
  • Undertaking property surveys and estimated costings to facilitate structural works
  • Inspecting the deterioration of a property and taking steps to ensure this does not affect the company’s planned works
  • Preparing structural sketches/plans, contracts, deadlines and other documentation
  • Writing technical reports/surveys that can be easily understood and followed by all trades
  • Planning and overseeing building work

Skills required:

  • At least 3 years’ structural experience in a multi-disciplined construction environment
  • CDM experience, and a full awareness of H&S
  • Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
  • Interest in and firm knowledge of the built environment and all current/upcoming revisions to working practices
  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of industry-specific software
  • Analytically minded, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent people, project and time management skills
  • Driving licence

The candidate must be prepared to travel nationwide as part of their remit (company car provided)
